is the musical project of Jeff Polly, a songwriter and performer shaped by years of travel, punk energy, and folk storytelling. His music reflects the world as he’s seen it—unequal, resilient, and still holding onto fragments of hope. Stranded with an acoustic guitar during COVID-19, he immersed himself in fingerstyle folk, finding a new way to channel his restless creativity.  

Two years playing in Ireland’s pubs sharpened his sound, merging punk’s urgency with folk’s narrative depth. Now based in Mocksville, North Carolina, Jeff Has Trouble blends intricate guitar work with lyrics and a voice that resonate with honesty. In 2026, he plans to release new music and play live as much possible, carving out a space in the local scene while aiming for wider stages.
